How do we appropriately educate and provide support to patients and caregivers on an advanced treatment for an advanced disease?
LIBTAYO is a prescription medicine used to treat patients with an advanced form of skin cancer called cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (CSCC) that has spread or cannot be cured by surgery or radiation. Due to LIBTAYO being a first and only therapy of its kind, a new campaign directed at healthcare professionals was developed and showcased through multiple channels, including a website. However, for the patient audience, the focus isn't on grabbing their attention but creating avenues that are convenient for them, providing disease and product information that is clear and concise, and supporting them with helpful resources (ie, questions to ask your doctor, copay programs, and patient assistance programs).
The LIBTAYO patient website was developed along with a patient discussion guide and other materials to give patients and caregivers simple and convenient access to information about advanced CSCC, LIBTAYO, and additional support materials. The website is responsive, so whether on any desktop, phone, or tablet, the site will work the same anywhere. Patient imagery was produced to give additional visual context to advanced CSCC and the common patient population. Medical illustrations and infographics were also created to help the audience process and understand some of the more complex scientific information and data.
